From SH1 (from South):
Follow SH1 through Whangarei, then turn right into Kensington Ave, Go straight ahead at the first set of traffic lights, and left at the second set, continuing to follow the signs to Tutukaka & Whangarei Falls. After a further 2km you will reach a roundabout, where you turn right, Lupton Lodge is a further 6km on the left hand side and have a Blue & White sign - 'Lupton Lodge'. If you see The Orange Market on your left then you have gone 200m too far.

From SH1 (from North):
Follow SH1 towards Whangarei until you see signs (turning to the right) for Kamo, Tikipunga, Tutukaka and the Whangarei Falls. This turn is about 7km before you reach Whangarei city centre. Take this turning right. At the first traffic lights turn left into Station Road. Follow Station road for 4km until you reach a T junction. Turn left at the T-junction, continuing to follow the signs to Tutukaka. Lupton Lodge is a further 6km on this road (see more info above)

Things to do:   Lupton Lodge is an ideal base for exploring Northland, diving the Poor Knights, visiting Zion Wildlife Gardens (The Lion Man) or as a romantic getaway. An easy 2˝ hr drive north of Auckland and less than 1 hr from the Bay of Islands makes this an ideal stop-off point if you are heading further afield.
