The Arden Country House is a friendly Country bed & breakfast just off State Highway 1, a 15 minutes from the Dunedin city centre. We offer three great bed & breakfast rooms and a very affordable self-contained cottage for groups up to five people. Enjoy the panoramic rural views on our 3.5 acre property.

Open-plan, self-contained studio The toilet is situated 10 metres from the studio. If you have kids they can make as much noise as you like without fear of disturbing anyone else. Walk & talk with the animals. (photos above are of the B & B) As well as normal cooking facilities a barbecue is also available.

Things to do:

This is on a 3 acre lifestyle property with about 500 eucalypyus trees. We have a goat, a tiny sheep who has no ears 4 other much bigger sheep & our cocker spaniel who will love your attention and thinks she is the cats whiskers, - oh yes there are 2 cats.Guests barbecue available. Visit the local beach and possibly see a penguin there, a seal, or even a wedding.
6KM to the Orokonui EcoSanctuary ( native birds etc) - the saddleback has been returned to the mainland here after an absence of 100 years. Explore the coast -surfing, kayaking & shell collecting. Feed our child friendly sheep.
